Membership has it’s privileges! By becoming a member at Triple Play, you will have access to our facility 7 days a week for up to 1hr per visit. You will also receive discounted pricing on lessons with our instructors!

TEAM RENTALS

Triple Play Academy can accommodate teams of all ages for baseball, softball, basketball and volleyball. We have a variety of options and pricing levels for baseball and softball teams. If you prefer an open space to work on fielding and long throws or multiple tunnels to work on hitting or pitching, we have affordable pricing to fit your budget

Whether you want to have a birthday party, a poker party, a fund raiser or even a dodgeball game, Triple Play has the space for you!!!

TPA CRUSH TRAVEL TEAMS

How a long time dream became a reality
What started out as a small dream, has grown into a big reality, and maybe more...

Triple Play Academy is a 12,500 square foot facility that opened December 1, 2012. Our immediate services have expanded from baseball and softball & now include speed & agility, personal training, volleyball, and golf!!! We also welcome field hockey and lacrosse players!! We provide affordable one-on-one and group training programs in a convenient location on Route 173 just west of Deep Lake Road. Triple Play Academy is owned by Mark McQuade, who has more than 32 years experience as a player and coach. Over the past 12+ years, Mark has supported his local sports communities by volunteering as a coach for in-house baseball, travel baseball, all star teams, girls softball and iceless hockey. Triple Play Academy welcomes all ages, and all skill levels. We are committed to developing your physical and mental sports performance & fitness knowledge. Triple Play Academy is located in the Antioch Crossings Complex at 22221 W. IL Route 173 #106, Antioch, IL 60002, directly across from the Wal Mart shopping center.

After 22 years in Corporate America, Mark decided it was time to realize his dream of owning in indoor sports facility. Mark has over 15 years experience coaching athletes of all ages, during which he has learned many skills, drills and techniques to help athletes of all ages improve their physical and mental approach.

Dawn has been with Triple Play Academy long before it was a reality, and has been instrumental in every aspect of the business design, layout and growth. Her 15 years of experience as a full-time Mom has given her all of the skills required to help kids of all ages enjoy their experience at Triple Play!

Callie Joined Triple Play in 2013 after completing her teaching degree at Augustana. Her experience as a nanny, along with her teaching degree makes her a perfect fit to help young athletes!
Bob Holst

Instructor – Pitching & Hitting
Bob was just recently hired to be the varsity assistant coach at Lakes High School starting in the 2014 season. Bob was afour year baseball letterman in high school. His success included one no-hitter and First Team All-Conferencepitching awards as a junior and senior. His sophomore year he batted over .500 while leading his team all theway to the state tournament. At thecompletion of his senior year, he was selected to play in the WBCA All StarGame and was voted as the top player in Kenosha County, WI. Afterreceiving a scholarship to play Division 1 at the University of Iowa, Bob was a4 year letterman as a pitcher and lead his team in ERA as a junior. Following his senior year as a teamco-captain, Bob pitched professionally in the independent Frontier League forthe Kalamazoo Kodiaks. After onesummer of professional ball, Bob immediately began coaching high school andworking summer baseball camps. As theHead Baseball Coach at Wilmot H.S.(Wilmot, WI), he posted a 90-31 record,resulting in five conference championships and 2 pitchers getting drafted. Bob is available weeknights and weekends.

Randy’s early career included Tremper High School where he was first team all-conference pitcher his junior year and second team all-conference infielder his senior year. Randy was selected to play in the WBCA All Star Game after his senior season. Randy attended the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and was a pitcher for 4 years and helped the team to a National Championship and a 3rd place finish at the DIII College World Series. For the past 8 years, Randy has been playing for the Kenosha Kings in the Wisconsin State League, where he has won 3 Most Valuable Pitcher awards, including the last 2 in a row. Randy has also been doing private instruction and camps in pitching and hitting since college, including leading youth camps for the WhiteSox Training Academy. Randy is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday Nights, and weekends by appointment ahead of time if necessary.

Jerad is a Johnsburg high school graduate, 3 time all-conference and all area, all state as a senior. He was also a 2008 Area-Code games participant with the White Sox. Drafted by the Texas Rangers out of high school & played at Heartland CC on a team that was ranked #1 junior college in the country and played in the NJCAA world series Played two years at The University of Kentucky on a team that was also ranked #1 in the country 2012 Cape Cod league with the Orleans Firebirds 2013 10th round pick of the Oakland Athletics and played 3 seasons with them Jerad is available most days of the week for instruction

Former CLC and Michigan State standout player, currently the pitching coach at Antioch High School. Chris is available Wednesday Nights

Sarah is currently a standout player for the Northern ICE Softball Organization. She recorded a 17-1 Pitching Record on JV1 as a Freshman and also threw 4 no hitters freshman year

Steve is an ASEP Certified Softball Hitting & Pitching Coach In 2011, he led the McHenry County Heatwave to a 3rd Place finish in the NAFA Nationals Steve has been coaching youth athletics at all levels for 14 years & has 6 years coaching a college exposure team focusing on college recruitment. Steve’s philosophy is everyone has the desire to win; champions have the desire to prepare.
